The history of the Naba Barrackpur Prafulla Chandra College Library dates back to the foundation of the college in 1966. The college has a central library with two adjacent reading room. It is located ground floor of the college building. The library is run by the Librarian with two library staffs under the guidance of the college authority. It has a vast collection of 16000 books nearly and the number is growing continuously. The library has N-LIST subscription. We also subscribe journals, magazines and newspapers. The college library is partly automated using software ‘Koha’. The implementation of Barcode technology is going on. It is very well organized and well maintained. Students, teaching and non-teaching staff members may borrow books and use the reading room as well. The Reading Room of the Library is well equipped having a seating capacity of 30 students and a separate Reading space for Faculty/Staff Members. We are trying to build this library as a knowledge hub.
